Getting Diagnosis Right: Teasing Out the Difference in ADHD, Anxiety, and Trauma
An accurate diagnosis is key to developing an effective treatment plan and reaching positive client outcomes. In this session, participants will become better diagnosticians by learning to spot the key differences in behaviors associated with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. Better diagnosis will lead to a decrease in individuals being medicated unnecessarily or incorrectly and to an increase in the number of clients being served with an effective treatment plan.
This training is open to any mental health professional who serves in a diagnostic capacity. The content is appropriate for those who need continuing education in the area of major mental health disorders.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Effectively identify key differences in behaviors associated with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma
- Use effective diagnosis to develop effective treatment plans
- Reduce the number of individuals who are medicated unnecessarily or incorrectly
